Moving home in Lockdown

As the UK begins to slowly ease its lockdown measures, the Government has ruled that moving house and viewing new properties can begin again as long as social distancing measures are in place.

We are currently still selling homes and there are virtual tours on some of our most popular house types available, plus the ability to have live chat with the sales team and set up virtual meetings and reserve your new home remotely for just £99.00!

To further this, we are also going to be opening our developments but by appointment only, following strict Government guidelines regarding social distancing and sanitising for the safety of our staff and customers.

People had been previously advised to delay moving while the “stay at home” guidance was in place. In today’s guide, we will look at 3 things you need to know if you are hoping to move before lockdown has ended.

1. Viewings

Home viewings can now begin again after being banned under initial lockdown guidelines. Sellers can now offer viewing of empty houses if social distancing and safety measures are in place, and anyone who had bought a home before lockdown can now visit the property to start planning their move.

2. Deposits

The Government is still operating Help to Buy now is the time to shop around for mortgages as lenders begin to relaunch their offering with some great rates, we recommend checking out our latest mortgage advice, who will be able to guide you through this process.
