THROUGH THIS WE IDENTIFY AND SECURE SITES OR NEIGHBOURING PIECES OF LAND THAT CAN COMBINE TO CREATE A SITE, WITH THE OVERALL AIM OF DELIVERING NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS AND GUIDING THEM THROUGH THE SOMETIMES TRICKY LOCAL AUTHORITY PLANNING SYSTEM.

These sites are often large and have specific or complex planning requirements. We work closely with landowners to carry out community engagement projects and deliver proposals that quickly achieve planning consent - something that without our help and support could take a number of years.

Berkeley DeVeer is delighted to present to you its vision for a new Garden Village at Kirk Deighton in Harrogate.

We believe our site provides a fantastic opportunity for a new sustainable development based on Garden City principles, and we have produced these plans to set out our thinking behind the concept and how we intend to deliver this through the development. We hope our proposal is given due consideration as a potential allocated housing site to help meet the borough’s housing targets.

We have produced an illustrative masterplan to give you a better idea of how the site could look, and how we propose to deliver the following:

  • Up to 1,500 new high quality homes;
  • A new primary school;
  • A new bus connection to Leeds and Harrogate;
  • The provision of 43 hectares of greenspace, which will be accessible to both new and existing residents;
  • The safeguarding of over 5 hectares of woodland;
  • 13.5 hectares of new employment land;
  • Walkable, sociable neighbourhoods centred around a new village centre and village green;

kippax sports regeneration project

DRAFT VISION

Berkeley DeVeer has carefully planned its vision for a new Sports Regeneration project in Kippax.

The planned 17 hectare site will comprise a 275 unit residential units, plus a bowling green and cricket and football pitches. The development is completed with a sports centre club house, featuring disability access, perfect for the local community to use.  We believe the site provides a fantastic opportunity for a new sustainable development and the sports facilities will benefit the local community in participating in physical activity and various clubs and groups.
